Cala & Bahia Tenerife

The Cala team made our way to Tenerife to support Bahia Principe as they prepared to open their new property shortly after our visit. We were excited to capture both lifestyle and product photography to showcase the beautiful hotel.

Arriving on the island, we were struck by the unique landscape - a volcanic island with rugged mountains behind the resort and the Atlantic Ocean in front. It created a striking backdrop for the property and a different type of environment for us to work with.

One of the highlights of the week were the sunset shoots. The property faces west, so the golden light was warm, soft, and rich, providing a natural glow for our scenes. These moments can be a reminder of how light and place shape not just the visuals, but the mood and feeling of the work.

A fun moment during the week was a “sip and paint” lifestyle scene we captured with our models. It was a chance to enjoy their creative energy, and the session brought a playful, relaxed and authentic atmosphere to the shoot..

We also took time to explore the volcanic terrain around the resort, walking along rugged paths nearby to get a sense of the surroundings and the property’s context. It allowed us to see how the mountains and coastline contribute to the destination’s character.

Reflecting on the week, it was the combination of location, light, and teamwork that made the shoot enjoyable and seamless.
