Hong Kong Tourism Board – Greater Bay Area Campaign

Cala’s relationship with the Hong Kong Tourism Board began in 2017 and has led to multiple collaborations. For this campaign, we were invited to create a hero film and social content promoting the Greater Bay Area — a region spanning Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Macao. The goal was to inspire travel by highlighting both iconic attractions and hidden gems, brought to life through two on-screen talents.

The process

Working closely with the Tourism Board’s London office, we developed an itinerary designed to capture the character of the Greater Bay Area. Pre-production included casting, securing visas, planning travel, and coordinating logistics across multiple cities. The shoot spanned four destinations — Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Macao — blending major landmarks with local stories to create a dynamic and authentic portrayal.

The results

Cala delivered a hero film, extensive social content, and a photography library for ongoing use across digital channels. The work was later presented in London by Cala’s directors alongside the Tourism Board team, further promoting the campaign’s impact to Greater Bay Area representatives.
